The Pneumatic Transit consists of Jeffery Zampillo (Guitars, Mellotron, Ondes Martenot, Production); Michael Shell (Drums, Production); Carl Coan (Saxophones, Humor); Waz Fox (Rhodes, Moog); Willie Waldman (Trumpet, Flugelhorn) and Stephen Manns (Bass). Chordae Tendineae was recorded in various residential and commercial spaces from the Spring of 2017 to the Winter of 2019 with the use of a mobile recording unit comprising of gear manufactured by Focusrite and Warm Audio.

The overall timbre of “Forbidden Trinkets” is dark in contrast to previous releases. That being said, a large portion of the program was composed over a long winter which intentionally influenced production choices. Additionally, the main choice of tracking microphones (with the exception of drums) were ribbon microphones. In turn, this decision subdued the excitement of top end sources (e.g. violins, fuzz tones, etc…).
