Documenting a vibrant and diverse Indianapolis area punk/new wave scene from 1976-1983 and featuring a mammoth lineup of 38 bands and 46 tracks, mostly original material, many unreleased and few available elsewhere today. Includes Zero Boys, MX-80 Sound, Jetsons, Repellents, Dow Jones and the Industrials, Gizmos (original and later version), Latex Novelties, Last Four Digits, Panics, The Future, Your Parents, Hoosier Daddies, Dancing Cigarettes, Video Kids, Positions and many more. Thematically centered on the beloved Crazy Al’s club from Indianapolis which closed in 1982.

After scoring a freak hit with the Buzz Bin classic ""Popular,"" New York indie-rockers Nada Surf built themselves into career artists with a devoted cult following. Arguably the most pivotal album in that arc was Let Go, the 2003 release that saw them aligning with longtime label home Barsuk Records for the first time. That album's US release date is rapidly approaching its 15th anniversary, and the band is celebrating by assembling their very own charity tribute LP. Standing At The Gates: The Songs Of Nada Surf's Let Go features the entire tracklist performed by an assortment of friends and associates including Aimee Mann, William Tyler, Rogue Wave, the Long Winters, Holly Miranda, Manchester Orchestra, Victoria Bergsman, and recent Barsuk signees Charly Bliss.

Originally released in 1982, A Flock OF Seagulls’ eponymous debut album reached the top 10 in the US charts, with the smash hit single, ‘I Ran’, climbing to number 9 in the US Billboard Hot 100. The album – with its pioneering New Wave production techniques - received rave reviews at the time, with producer Phil Spector hailing it as ‘phenomenal’.
This 40th Anniversary special CD reissue includes the original album remastered, as well as b-sides, singles, BBC Sessions and a BBC concert held at the Paris Theatre, London, which was originally transmitted in January 1982, all exclusive to the 3 CD format, as well as liner notes compiled by journalist John Earls comprising of an interview with lead singer and founding band member Mike Score

While there was certainly little to complain about on the original issue of the soundtrack for Standing in the Shadows of Motown, for those who truly sought the magic of the Funk Brothers, this deluxe edition is what they longed for all along. This two-disc collection contains the soundtrack of the Allan Slutsky/Harry Weinger film – plus three bonus tracks – from that historic night at the Royal Oak Music Theater just outside of Detroit. It pairs what was left of the original Motown session gang and their heirs with a host of vocalists, including Joan Osborne, Chaka Khan, Bootsy Collins, Montell Jordan, Me'Shell NdegéOcello, Ben Harper, and Gerald LeVert interpreting the classics. The extra soundtrack cuts feature John Lee Hooker, Jackie Wilson, and Dennis Coffey with the Detroit Guitar Band. But on disc two, the entire grail becomes attainable. Here are 15 musical tracks, the original instrumental sides from "the Snakepit" of the Motown studios, with little or no vocal accompaniment, remixed from the ground up. The producers broke down and mapped out each verse, bridge, chorus, and vamp on paper first. Phone calls were made to the living members and then each tune was knotted together from the recorded evidence, using the input of the Funks and the added guitars of Dennis Coffey and Wah Wah Watson.

This edition contains not only the original album, but a new 5.1 mix by Steven Wilson which was done in conjunction with Roland Orzabal, as well as all the relevant B-Sides, alternate mixes and around 60 minutes of previously unheard demos and live rehearsals. The set is housed in a shoe box style box (similar to the other 2 releases) with an extensive booklet, with new interviews by Super Deluxe editor Paul Sinclair with the band and other players on the album. Also contains the tour program.

Leisureland, the first album Wreckless Eric wrote and recorded after surviving a serious bout with COVID-19, finds the singer/songwriter in an unusually contemplative mood. Leisureland isn't a real place, necessarily: it's a dreamscape inspired by the seaside towns littering the English landscape, a place where the tensions between a tourist's fantasy and blue-collar reality come into sharp relief.
