This hard rock band was formed in Germany in 1986 by Bernie Kolbe (vocals, bass) and British expatriate Cliff Jackson (guitar; formerly the leader of UK progressive rock group Epitaph). Originally named Kingdom, the group added guitarist Alex Ritt, keyboard player Voker Sassenberg and drummer Thorstein Preker before releasing their self-titled 1988 debut for Teldec Records. The name-change occurred shortly afterwards, owing to confusion with the similarly named US hard rock group Kingdom Come. Their debut album was subsequently repackaged and credited to Domain, with its title extended to Our Kingdom. The following year’s Before The Storm was produced by Albert Bockholt (previously a collaborator with Magnum and Treat) and saw the group continue on its path of experimental but somewhat mannered psychedelic hard rock.

The Most of Animals or The Most of The Animals is the title of a number of different compilation albums by Newcastle upon Tyne blues rock group The Animals. Although track listing varies, all feature only songs from 1964 and 1965. The title is derived from the name of their then producer Mickie Most. The first album was released in 1966 by Columbia (SX 6035). Most of the material had not featured on either of their previous two UK LPs. The album charted at #4 - their highest position so far on the UK album chart (both previous LPs having peaked at #6). It was their final album for EMI-owned Columbia before moving to Decca.

"The Works" is the 4th studio album by the English singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Nik Kershaw. It was released in 1989 and was the last album he created for MCA Records. Kershaw chose the album's title as he felt the album represented "the collected works of Nik Kershaw". He did not release any new solo material until "15 Minutes", 10 years later. The album was not commercially successful, though the lead single "One Step Ahead" reached No. #55 in the UK. "Elisabeth's Eyes", the second and final single, failed to chart altogether.

Roger Chapman is best known for his barbed-wire voice, used to front British '70s rock acts Family and Streetwalkers. He began a long-awaited solo career in 1978 that led to over a dozen full-length releases. Never heard of them? It's not surprising: album-wise, he camped out in Germany for 20 years. His first album and tour got high praise in his British homeland, but critics cut into him soon after. When the hassle-free German market beckoned, Chapman began to focus his subsequent work there, where he had become a musical hero, "the working-class artist." Chapman split with his longtime writing partner, Charlie Whitney, after the breakup of Streetwalkers in 1977.
