Heroes Of The Soviet Union is a passionate tribute disc to American screamo monarchs who recently called it a day, The Dillinger Escape Plan. Only nine songs are covered but oh it is a scorcher.

The Shape of Water is a science fiction fairy tale written and directed by Guillermo del Toro, starring Sally Hawkins, Richard Jenkins, Octavia Spencer, Michael Shannon, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Doug Jones. It’s an odd mishmash of a film – it’s one part romantic drama, one part monster movie, one part spy thriller, and it explores additional themes that range from one character’s closeted homosexuality to another’s love of classic Hollywood musicals – but somehow it all works beautifully. Hawkins plays Elisa, a shy mute woman who works as a cleaner on the night shift at a military research facility in the 1960s.

Even more goodies from Camila Cabello’s new movie, Cinderella have been released. From Kay Cannon (Pitch Perfect), Cinderella is a modern musical with a bold take on the story you grew up with. Our ambitious heroine (Cabello) has big dreams and with the help of her Fab G, she perseveres to make them come true. Cinderella has an all-star cast including Idina Menzel, Minnie Driver, James Corden, Nicholas Galitzine, Billy Porter and Pierce Brosnan.

Carter Burwell has recently recorded his score for the upcoming animated feature Missing Link. The film is written and directed by Chris Butler (ParaNorman) and features the voice talent of Hugh Jackman, Zoe Saldana, Zach Galifianakis, Emma Thompson, Stephen Fry, Timothy Olyphant, Matt Lucas, David Walliams, Ching Valdez-Aran and Amrita Acharia. The movie revolves around the world’s foremost investigator of myths and monsters as he travels to America’s Pacific Northwest to prove the existence of a legendary creature. Travis Knight (Kubo and the Two Strings, Bumblebee) is producing the LAIKA production with Arianne Sutner (ParaNorman). Missing Link is set to be released on April 12, 2019 by Annapurna Pictures.

Golden Globe nominated composer Alex Heffes has over 60 film and TV scores to his name. It was his scores to Kevin Macdonald's Academy Award-winning films ONE DAY IN SEPTEMBER, THE LAST KING OF SCOTLAND and BAFTA-winning TOUCHING THE VOID that first won him international acclaim. Alongside his long collaboration with Macdonald, he has worked with many of cinema’s top filmmakers such as Stephen Frears, Mira Nair, Catherine Hardwicke, Peter Webber and Tim Burton earning him the reputation as a composer with a unique voice who can communicate with directors at a deep level.
