Get Carter is the 2000 remake of Michael Caine's classic 1971 crime film, starring Sylvester Stallone in the role of Jack Carter. Jack also investigates Richie's death after he realizes Richie was murdered. While he starts snooping around, his mob partner in Las Vegas, Con McCarty (McGinley), covers for him with the mob boss, Fletcher. A secondary plot revolves around an affair Carter was having with Fletcher's girlfriend, Audrey (Mol).

Depuis plusieurs années, Jack Carter mène une vie solitaire. Il a volontairement coupé tous les ponts avec sa famille pour se consacrer entièrement à son dangereux métier : collecteur de dettes. Jack travaille effectivement pour les prêteurs sur gage de Las Vegas. Après la mort brutale de son frère Ritchie dans un accident de la route du côté de Seattle, Jack tente de renouer contact avec ses proches afin d'enquêter sur cette mort que lui seul considère suspecte. C'est d'abord sa belle-soeur, Gloria, et sa jeune nièce, Doreen, qui accueillent avec méfiance Jack. Devenue un parfait étranger pour elle, Gloria considère mal venu les efforts déployés par Carter car pour elle, comme pour la police locale, il est entendu que la mort de Ritchie n'est pas due à la malveillance d'autrui.Pourtant, après quelques recherches, Jack découvre que l'on a volontairement saoulé son frère avant qu'il ne prenne le volant. Dr. Sebastian Caine (Kevin Bacon), a brilliant but megalomaniacal molecular biologist, works on an invisibility serum for the U.S. military. His current project is reversing the invisibility effect on his test subject, a female gorilla named Isabelle. Working late one night he solves the problem and is able to return the gorilla to the visible world. Although he works on the serum virtually non-stop, he still finds time to obsess about his ex-girlfriend Linda McKay (Elisabeth Shue), another scientist on his team, who, unbeknownst to Sebastian, is currently dating Matt Kensington (Josh Brolin), yet another team member. Sebastian and his team, that also includes animal vets Sarah Kennedy (Kim Dickens) and Carter Abbey (Greg Grunberg) and technicians Frank Chase (Joey Slotnick) and Janice Walton (Mary Randle) eventually do figure out how to get the serum to work on animals, bringing the gorilla back to visibility. Afterwards, the team eagerly looks forward to obtaining clearance for clinical trials on humans.

Un brillant scientifique, Sebastian Caine, travaille pour les services secrets. Il vient de mettre au point une formule pour rendre invisible. Apres l'avoir testee avec succes sur lui-meme, il s'apercoit qu'il ne peut plus inverser le phenomene. Ses collegues tentent alors de trouver une solution. Mais Caine devient de plus en plus obsede par son nouveau pouvoir et se persuade peu a peu que ses collegues en veulent a sa vie.

Le tueur à gages Dimitri Kopas débarque à Paris. Sa mission : éliminer le spécialiste en investissements Léo Zimmermann. Peu après son arrivée, il se présente au bureau de ce dernier en se faisant passer pour un client. Dès qu'il le voit, Léo prend conscience que sa tête est mise à prix. Après des heures d'angoisse et de paranoïa, l'investisseur, aux prises avec une épouse qui le trompe avec son associé, décide de confronter le tueur. Il lui propose alors de retarder son exécution de quelques jours, afin de lui permettre de faire un dernier coup d'argent qui assurera l'avenir de sa fillette adorée. Kopas accepte le marché et tue les heures en compagnie d'une jeune femme mystérieuse rencontrée au bar de son hôtel.

An Italian fishing boat crew finds an unconscious man (Matt Damon) floating adrift in the Mediterranean somewhere near Marseille with two gunshot wounds in his back. The boat's medic finds a tiny laser projector surgically implanted under the unknown man's skin at the level of the hip. When activated, the laser projector displays the number of a safe deposit box in Zürich. The man wakes up and discovers he is suffering from psychogenic amnesia.[2] Over the next two weeks, the man finds he is fluent in several languages and has unusual skills, but cannot remember anything about himself or why he was in the ocean. When the ship docks in Imperia, he sets off to see what is in the safe deposit box.

Sur la côte adriatique, un petit bateau de pêche repère le corps inanimé d'un homme ballotté par les flots. Des marins s'empressent de le repêcher. Portant des traces de balles dans le dos, cet homme à l'identité inconnue a miraculeusement survécu, mais il ne se souvient plus de rien. Même pas de son nom. Et encore moins des raisons pour lesquelles on a tenté de le tuer. Toutefois, un indice subsiste : de sa hanche est extraite une petite capsule holographique indiquant un numéro de compte à Zurich. L'inconnu se rend alors dans une banque suisse afin de faire la lumière sur son identité. Une fois sur place, il découvre dans un coffre-fort une malette contenant plusieurs milliers de dollars, un pistolet, un passeport au nom de Jason Bourne et six autres documents d'identité de diverses nationalités. Ce dernier s'aperçoit bientôt qu'il est suivi à la trace par une mystérieuse organisation.
