The Other Side of Darkness’ is a collaborative album from 36 and awakened souls. The project began with James (awakened souls) sending Dennis (36) a few bass loops he made and quickly evolved into a collaborative project with Cynthia (awakened souls) as well.

As a home for collective listening moments, the 9128.live label encourages artists to push their own creative boundaries by presenting new, experimental approaches. This ethos has been encapsulated perfectly by Dennis Huddleston with his latest album as 36 and the third release for 9128.live. Weaponised Serenity was originally performed as part of the 9128 2-year anniversary show, as 36 reflects on his rave upbringing, creating what can only be described as an ambient take on the early 90's UK hardcore/jungle sound.

The third and final LP in 36's synth trilogy is now available. Reality Engine continues the melodic, melancholy machine sound started with Wave Variations and Symmetry Systems, exploring the blossoming dynamics of artificial intelligence and the ever-changing definition of reality.

I wrote 'Colours In The Dark' after an extended period of complete musical inactivity. Earlier in the year, I suffered with depression for the first time in my life, which really shook me. I've always battled with anxiety, but this was on a whole different level.

'Symmetry Systems' is the new EP by Dennis Huddleston AKA 36. Inspired by Warp's 'Artificial Intelligence' releases from the early 90's, it's a melodic, synthesiser-driven record, with a wink to the past and a nod towards the future.

Music For Isolation (Suite) is an expanded 9-track version of the original 4-track EP, which was first released in March 2020. It has been fully remastered by Rafael Anton Irisarri and is now available as a 6-panel CD digipak, as well as the usual digital/streaming formats.

We have also found ourselves in the most distracted period of time in history; finding it tremendously difficult to remain in a moment of stillness, quietude, or allow time for self-reflection. Conversely, our vast universe continues its expansion into infinite development; a climate of deafening silence in a boundless four-dimensional continuum. It remains mesmerizing with a quiet allure that freely suspends in space-time; a true account of the beautiful unknown that sparks hope, reverence, and an awesome realization of impenetrable mystery.

Loops have always been at the very center of everything I've ever made. They are the beginning and the end of my music. I'm obsessed with the idea of creating something you can play for 60 seconds or 60 minutes, where the listener enters that hypnotic flow state, where you become detached from time and space.
