Considering that Edip Akbayram was still active in 2006 and, in fact, enjoying a comeback of sorts in Turkey, some people might think this two-CD self-titled album is a career-encompassing "best-of." Truth is, there is no indication whatsoever in this album's booklet as to where these 24 tracks come from, but the press release states they are "the best psych tracks from his first two albums and many related singles," which would imply that the tracks were all recorded in the early '70s. An important figure in Turkish pop music, Akbayram and his band Dostlar were among the most successful at integrating Western instruments and structures into local music. What they came up with is an infectious, personal, and deeply honest form of psychedelic rock…

Return to Forever is the eighteenth studio album by German rock band Scorpions. It was released on February 20, 2015 in Europe and on February 23 in North America. As the opposite usually happens, the brand-new SCORPIONS studio album "Return To Forever" has appeared later in Japan - just three days ago - however worth the wait as it's manufactured on the superior Blu-Spec CD2 format, and apart of including the European deluxe edition 4 bonus, adds 2 exclusive to this release. This "Return To Forever Japanese Blu-Spec CD2" worth the extra pennies. The Digipak is velvet-textured, and you have two exclusive bonus tracks: the kickin' hard rocker "One And One Is Three" very much in the '84 Scorpions vibe (and a crime that it is not included in the regular CD), plus the hooky "Crazy Ride", a melodic rocker in the pure Schenker tradition.

Enigma is a German musical project founded in 1990 by Romanian-German musician and producer Michael Cretu. Cretu had released several solo records, collaborated with various artists, and produced albums for his then wife, German pop singer Sandra, before he conceived the idea of a New Age, Worldbeat project. He recorded the first Enigma studio album, MCMXC a.D. (1990), with contributions from David Fairstein and Frank Peterson. The album remains Enigma's biggest, helped by the international hit single, "Sadeness (Part I)", which sold 12 million units alone. According to Cretu, the inspiration for the creation of the project came from his desire to make a kind of music that did not obey "the old rules and habits" and presented a new form of artistic expression with mystic and experimental components.
