A Life Electric

A Life Worth Living, the sixth studio album by Louisiana roots singer Marc Broussard, is his most personal project to date. No longer hiding behind ambiguity or his former label’s desire for performances targeted to Broussard’s demographics, this time Broussard opens up and creates a music mosaic straight from his soul.

Legendary American singer and pianist Leon Russell has entertained the world for five decades, getting his start as an in-demand Wrecking Crew session player and playing on hundreds of hit records before he began releasing his own albums in 1967. Leon Russell's latest studio album, titled Life Journey, will be released on April 1, 2014. This 12-track album features newly-written, original songs and Russell's turns on classics that resonate with the two-time GRAMMY® winner as important to his musical trajectory. The album is produced by Tommy LiPuma and executive produced by Elton John, with whom Russell most recently collaborated for 2010's critically acclaimed album, The Union.

Featuring a line-up of David Thomas (vocals, guitar, bass, harmonica), Gareth Johnson (guitars), Graham Davies (bass, acoustic & electric guitars) and Les Hicks (drums), “Reflections on a Life” was the third and final album by the band (who hailed from Newport in South Wales). Issued in 1971, the record followed on from the band’s albums,“Contrasts” (recorded for the Pye label in 1969) and “Rebirth” (released by Ember Records in 1970).
