Pixote, a 10-year-old runaway boy, is arrested on the streets of Sao Paulo during a police round-up homeless people. Pixote endures torture, degradation and corruption at a local youth detention center where two of the runaways are murdered by policemen who frame Lilica, a 17-year-old transvesite hustler. Pixote helps Lilica and three other boys escape where they make their living by the life of crime which only escalates to more violence and death.

The ethicist, Placido Mesquita, coming to Lisbon to visit his nephew Edward to rescue him from a damnable life of bad habits and finds himself torn between his passion for his next door neighbor, the young Mariana, and the loving relationship he has Isabel Moreira, artist brave and very determined varieties. The neighbor goalkeeper Jerome Saraiva and contribute to the confusion that is installed in the building and spread to the teacher, who sees the purpose of his trip radically altered.

Carlos figures out that she’s unfaithful and, armed, confronts Solange. Meanwhile, she seeks psychiatric help because she feels no remorse. Will there be violence and death, a psychological breakthrough, or more bus rides?
