A Taste of The Sun: Ginos Italian Escape

The Prisoners are one of the great lost bands of the 1980s. The Rochester four-piece fused garage rock, post punk and classic 60s pop melodies to create a distinctive sound. Lead singer and guitarist Graham Day is a song composer of note. They released four albums over a four-year period. This reissue of their 1982 debut album is re-mastered from the original tapes & is joined by nine bonus tracks, 'Baby Come Alive' ('Taste of Pink' session), 'Pretend' (Radio Session), 'There's a Time' (Live at Oakwood), 'Lilac Reflections' (Cecil Road demo), 'Talking Bout My Baby' (Cecil Road demo), & 'Don't Call My Name' (Cecil Road demo), 'Say Your Prayers' (Cecil Road demo), 'Somewhere' (BBC Kent Radio Session), & 'Love Changes' (Live at Quines).

Imagine a landscape that seems to contain no joy. An American soldier has been assigned here, far from his home. He is an uncomplicated man, not young anymore, who has never really felt that be belonged to anyone. Also living here is a single woman, not young, who tends to her dying mother in the home they have scraped together out of the rubble. It is shortly after the end of World War II.

Widower Gill Callahan retired from the fire department after a tragedy. Helped out by some mates, he starts a diner, offering simple food to their taste. The matching music is too much for the elitist taste of his neighbor, Sara Westbrook, who just started a French restaurant and aspires a refined reputation utterly clashing with the working class neighborhood, leading to a prank war. Gill's daughter Hannah befriends Sara and ends up acting as matchmaker, helped by fate in what seems tragedy.

Tyson: A Taste Of Country is a 1995 compilation album released through MCA Records. It was made in conjunction with the Tyson company that makes and sells chicken.
