Abyssal Arrows

Korea's biggest film of 2011, the period epic War of the Arrows is set in the 17th century during the second Manchu invasion of Joseon Korea. Park Hae Il (The Host) won Best Actor at the Daejong and Blue Dragon Film Awards for his sharp portrayal of the lone archer who risks everything to save his sister, played by television starlet Moon Chae Won (The Princess' Man) who has picked up many Best New Actress awards. Directed by Kim Han Min (Paradise Murdered), War of the Arrows turns up the tension for a fast-paced period actioner filled with thrilling chase scenes and a relentless flurry of arrows.
