On September 25, 2020, Guns N' Roses' 2004, multi-platinum best of compilation Greatest Hits (Geffen/UMe) will be released on vinyl for the first time. Previously only available digitally and on CD, Greatest Hits will be pressed as a 2LP set on 180gram audiophile black vinyl, a 2LP set on silver colored vinyl with red and white splatter, plus a 2LP picture disc available exclusively through the band's official store.

Greatest Hits is the first greatest hits package released by the American country music band Alabama. The album was released by RCA Records in 1986, and has since been certified platinum for sales of 5 million units by the Recording Industry Association of America. By the mid-1980s, Alabama had become the most dominant act in country music. During the first half of the decade, the Fort Payne, Alabama-based group had 18 No. 1 songs in as many single releases (discounting their 1982 Christmas single, "Christmas in Dixie"). First released in 1972, this compilation album remains one of the favorites in Simon & Garfunkel's catalog. In the same month that the "Greatest Hits" was released, Simon & Garfunkel performed a reunion concert to benefit the presidential campaign of Senator George McGovern. Rather than release a straightforward greatest hits album to coincide with the concert, they instead opted to include live versions of some of their most personal songs.

Joel has grown over the course of his long career, and you can trace his maturity as an artist through these later songs. The tone is a bit darker, a bit edgier than on his earlier tunes. This is an artist who has always been about making pop music, but he's also lived and learned: "You gotta get tough/but that ain't enough/it's all about soul". Fans will probably agree, and will enjoy this collection immensely.
