All We Are Saying… is Frisell's closest thing to a rock record yet, though that doesn't mean it's lacking in the kind of in-the-moment arrangements and spontaneous orchestrations that defined Sign of Life. This is no "Beatles-meets-jazz" record with copious soloing; Frisell's Lennon homage remains both reverent to these iconic melodies, and largely faithful to their basic structures.

A tremendous pairing of two of the most unique talents in the avant jazz spectrum – pianist Matthew Shipp and flautist Nicole Mitchell – both coming together here in a wonderful way! The cover bills the set as somewhat of a meeting between Mitchell and Shipp's trio with Michael Bisio on bass and Newman Taylor Baker on drums – but the music feels more as if it's resonating strongly between the darkly melodic depths of both Nicole and Matthew – piano and flute working together in ways that are very different than the usual effort of its type – especially from Mitchell, who seems to pull out all these new raspy, earthy tones that are completely wonderful! Nicole plays both alto and standard flute – and Shipp continues his tremendous new rebirth of recent years.

Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announce the signing of All My Shadows, a quintet founded in 2020 by Vanden Plas members Stephan Lill (guitarist) and Andy Kuntz (vocals). Their debut album, "Eerie Monsters" will be released on February 17, 2023. Stephan Lill is the guitarist and musical backbone of the internationally known progressive metal band Vanden Plas. From the very beginning, he has been a huge influence on the sound and musical development of the band with his songwriting. Outside of Vanden Plas, Lill has also left his mark with his involvement in the rock operas/theater productions "Ludus Danielis," "Christ 0," "The Chronicles of the Immortals," "Everyman," and "Last Paradise Lost".
