Automated Broad and Narrow Band Impedance Matching for RF and Microwave Circuits

Automated Broad and Narrow Band Impedance Matching for RF and Microwave Circuits by Amal Banerjee
English | PDF,EPUB | 2018 (2019 Edition) | 116 Pages | ISBN : 3319990004 | 8.80 MB

This book presents a seamless and unified scheme for automating very complicated calculations required to design, evaluate performance characteristics of, and implement broadband and narrow band impedance matching sub-circuits. The results of these automated calculations (the component values of the impedance matching sub-circuit) are formatted as text SPICE(Simulation Program with Integrated Circuit Emphasis) input netlists. Readers then immediately can use any available SPICE simulator to measure the performance characteristics (DC response, transient response, frequency response, RMS power transferred from source to load, reflection coefficient insertion and transmission loss, ans standing wave ratio – SWR). The text SPICE netlist can be edited easily to fine-tune the performance characteristics, and perform design space exploration and “what-if” type of analyses.

Practical RF Amplifier Design and Performance Optimization with SPICE and Load- and Source-pull Techniques

Practical RF Amplifier Design and Performance Optimization with SPICE and Load- and Source-pull Techniques by Amal Banerjee
English | EPUB | 2021 | 79 Pages | ISBN : 3030625117 | 2.4 MB

This book explains and demonstrates with an exhaustive set of design examples, how common types of radio frequency(RF) amplifiers (classes A, B, AB, C, D, E, F, G and H) can be designed, and then have their performance characteristics evaluated and optimized with SPICE. The author demonstrates the transient analysis features of SPICE, along with industry-standard load- and source-pull techniques to simulate the steady-state, long-term time-domain behavior of any test RF amplifier.

Performance Evaluation of Electronic Oscillators: Automated S Parameter Free Design with SPICE and Discrete Fourier Transforms by Amal Banerjee
English | EPUB | 2020 | 88 Pages | ISBN : 3030256774 | 3.05 MB

This book demonstrates a novel, efficient and automated scheme to design and evaluate the performance of electronic oscillators, operating at the 100s of Megahertz to 10s of Gigahertz frequencies. The author describes a new oscillator design and performance evaluation scheme that addresses all the issues associated with the traditional S parameter (large, small signal) based oscillator design technique by exploiting the properties of a new breed of RF or microwave transistors, the powerful Discrete Fourier Transform and the SPICE tool's transient analysis. Readers will benefit from an exhaustive set of detailed, step-by-step oscillator (feedback, negative resistance, crystal and differential) design examples, as well as the software tools (C executables) used to create the design examples.
