Die Bearbeitungen transportieren wieder Christoph Israels vielseitige kompositorische Handschrift und sein besonderes Geschick, vertraute, traditionelle Klänge neu zu interpretieren. Die zauberhafte Mischung aus filmreifer Opulenz, sensibler Intimität und minimalistischer Klangschönheit kreiert eine eigene musikalische Welt, die mit einer großen Portion Ausdruckskraft von vielen Künstlern des gelben Labels zum Leben erweckt wird. Der märchenhafte Musikmix, der das neue “Wintermärchen” ausmacht, knüpft an das erfolgreiche Album von 2016 an und garantiert wieder viele gemütliche Stunden, mit denen man das Jahr wunderbar ausklingen lassen kann.

Christoph Deluze began his first musical studies at the Neuchâtel conservatory as a pupil of Dinu Lipatti. He then went to the Guild HallSchool of Music of London in the piano class of E. Philipp. During this period he was one of the few pianists who was able to work with Shura Cherkassky.

The age-old spirit of the composer-performer lies at the heart of the 10-year collaboration between cellist-composer Christoph Croise and composer-saxophonist Daniel Schnyder (pronounced SHNEE-der). This resulting album features two of Daniel's concertos, both commissioned by Christoph, alongside numerous world premieres of solo and chamber works.

It was an awakening experience when Christoph Koncz, principal violinist of the Vienna Philharmonic and conductor, first held Mozarts original concert violin in his hands.

Harmonium and piano… this is an extraordinary connection. There are a lot of original compositions, especially by french composers, as well as many impressive transcriptions of well-known pieces by great composers.

On her second PENTATONE album Sinnbild, soprano Hanna-Elisabeth Müller presents an enchanting collection of orchestral songs by Richard Strauss together with the WDR Symphony Orchestra conducted by Christoph Eschenbach.
