This is the last album of the trilogy ("Oremi", "Black Ivory Soul" and "Oyaya") that the "African Diva" started in 1998, exploring the African roots of the music of the Americas. In "Oyaya" (that means "Joy" in the Yoruba language), Angélique Kidjo mixes Latin and Caribbean music with African guitars. The French Guyanese Henri Salvador, who was 86 at the time of the recording, joined Angélique on the touching song "Le Monde Comme un Bébé". This french (extended) version, includes a bonus 14th track. Enjoy a really wonderful ethnic album, with diverse musical influences.
