Recent Advances in Underwater Signal Processing

Recent Advances in Underwater Signal Processing by Haixin Sun, Xuebo Zhang
English | PDF | 2023 | 240 Pages | ISBN : 3036581340 | 38.3 MB

Seventy-one percent of the Earth is covered by oceans, which plays an important role in human life (ecological regulation, living resources, mineral resources, etc.). Underwater equipment including sonar and radar can help us to better understand the ocean. Using these technologies, topography, underwater communication, target detection, localization, imaging, and ocean monitoring can be easily carried out. Signal processing and electronics techniques have achieved great progress in recent years. Thanks to these developments, the novel theories, mechanisms, and processing techniques of underwater equipment have also been pushed into a new era.

Following their internationally acclaimed recording of Steve Reich's masterpiece Music For 18 Musicians, Ensemble Signal and Brad Lubman present two recent pieces by the composer: Double Sextet from 2007 and Radio Rewrite from 2012. Double Sextet is scored for two sextets of flute, clarinet, violin, cello, vibraphone and piano. It won the 2009 Pulitzer Prize for Music - the first for the composer. Radio Rewrite is a work for instrumental ensemble inspired by two songs by the British rock band Radiohead - ''Jigsaw Falling into Place'' and ''Everything in Its Right Place.'' The piece represents the first time that Reich has reworked material from western pop/rock music. These strong, tuneful, energetic, tightly made works receive impassioned performances from Ensemble Signal, who The New York Times has called 'one of the most vital groups of its kind.'

Design and Analysis of Analog Filters: A Signal Processing Perspective (Repost)

Design and Analysis of Analog Filters: A Signal Processing Perspective by Larry D. Paarmann
English | PDF | 2001 | 440 Pages | ISBN : 0792373731 | 23.8 MB

Design and Analysis of Analog Filters: A Signal Processing Perspective includes signal processing/systems concepts as well as implementation. While most books on analog filter design briefly present the signal processing/systems concepts, and then concentrate on a variety of filter implementation methods, the present book reverses the emphasis, stressing signal processing concepts. Filter implementation topics are presented in Part II: passive filters, and operational amplifier active filters. However, greater emphasis on signal processing/systems concepts is included in Part I of the book than is typical. This emphasis makes the book very appropriate as part of a signal processing curriculum.

A First Course in Statistics for Signal Analysis

A First Course in Statistics for Signal Analysis by Wojbor A. Woyczynski
English | PDF(True) | 2011 | 271 Pages | ISBN : 0817681000 | 4.9 MB

'A First Course in Statistics for Signal Analysis' is a small, dense, and inexpensive book that covers exactly what the title says: statistics for signal analysis. The book has much to recommend it. The author clearly understands the topics presented. The topics are covered in a rigorous manner, but not so rigorous as to be ostentatious. The sequence of topics is clearly targeted at the spectral properties of Gaussian stationary signals. Any student studying traditional communications and signal processing would benefit from an understanding of these topics…In summary, [the work] has much in its favor…This book is most appropriate for a graduate class in signal analysis. It also could be used as a secondary text in a statistics, signal processing, or communications class.
