Aryan Peste Noire

On 100 X Vive la France there are 100 tracks that perfectly reflect the feeling of 50 years of French music. From veterans such as Charles Trenet, Henri Salvador, Yves Montand and Catherine Sauvage to more recent artists such as In-Grid, Renaud and others. The tracks are arranged chronologically on the CDs and are thus a nice overview of half a century French music.

Ilja Richter was born to parents Georg and Eva Richter. Georg was a Communist, who named Ilja after the Russian journalist Ilja Ehrenburg, and Eva was a Jew who survived the Third Reich under a fake Aryan identity. Georg spent nine and a half years in the penitentiary and concentration camp during the Third Reich. After the family was in political difficulties in the GDR, they moved to West Berlin in 1953.

It all began in Africa ~ This almost applies for contemporary music on the whole, as almost the complete global music production is embossed by African roots, ranging from afro-cuban music, to jazz, blues, r&b, funk and soul. Although the beginning of current club music can be found in the jazz basements of ghettos of the States , this old expression fits one hundred percent particularly, to the style ''afro house

In una sorta di autocritica sul proprio operato si insinua il sospetto che i vari tentativi di cambiare la vita siano insufficienti. C'è una forte critica alla cultura, alla politica, e persino all'idea di coppia così com'è strutturata. Non mancano però slanci utopistici e gioiosi verso un futuro che non è ancora identificato e il desiderio di afferrare la realtà nel suo movimento è appassionato e vitale.
