We just come off a crazed US tour with Fourtet a month earlier, and a few months before that we did our first and very well-recieved tour of the UK after the big Wire article. Vibracathedral Orchesta & Jack Rose were also on the bill.

The book reports the results on the fate of POPs in the abiotic and biotic components of the aquatic environment North Pacific Ocean (include Russian part of North Pacific), possible health risks for coastal residents Pacific Ocean exposed to these hazardous pollutants are systematized. In particular, indicator organisms (fish, birds, and mammals), indicating the pollution of the region, were identified; the possible ways of xenobiotic transfer from the sea to the land are shown; the targets of POPs impact on living organisms were determined; the time of circulation of pollutants in the biosphere was determined; a list of “priority” toxicants for the region based on quality screening was compiled; the risks to human health from the consumption of contaminated aquatic organisms were assessed; the levels of POPs in the human body were measured.

The greatest selling point on this "Best Of" collection is the incredible job the producer did in cleaning up and freshening the sound quality. One of the biggest problems with the original Burrito's releases was the often muddled and muffled sound and overbearing bass lines. The songs and the writing were always better than the quality of the studio versions. Not so here! I don't know how they did it, but every song here sounds better than the original version….clear, fresh, crisp treble tones are audible for the first time and the stereo separation seems more distinctive as well. They also did an outstanding and inclusive job in selecting the songs. Gram Parsons, Chris Hillman, and Flying Burrito fans should run, not walk, to add this to their collections!

The Derek Trucks Band is an American jam band founded by young slide guitar prodigy, Derek Trucks, who began playing guitar and touring with some of blues and rock music's elite when he was just nine years old. After experimenting as an adolescent with musicians he met between tours and recording sessions, Trucks founded The Derek Trucks Band in 1994. The album was recorded between June 14, 1997 – April 11, 1998 at Dockside Studios, Maurice The album is mainly re-arranged jazz and blues classics and the rest is original compositions by the band. Derek was eighteen years old at the time of the release of the album.
