Something huge is gathering in Franconia! Since their first storm warning in 2008, WINTERSTORM sent their heavy squalls made out of winter-like Folk and stormy Power Metal through the metal scene three times already. Starting with the grand and widely celebrated debut album “A coming Storm”, continuing with the even more enthralling “Kings Will Fall” and culminating in the hitherto climax in form of the concept album (and debut for Noise Art) “Cathyron”, WINTERSTORM easily made their name known, extravagating all genre borders. Shows on Wacken Open Air (2012), the Heidenfest tour (2013) or as support for Van Canto (2014) are only some of the live highlights in the band‘s history and confirm that WINTERSTORM have been an inherent part of the local scene for years. …

The brand new masterpiece of German epic metal pioneers EQUILIBRIUM, "Armageddon", is out now! Guitarist, composer and lyricist René Berthiaume spent almost two years working on this new opus called "Armageddon". The result is rather dark, yet remains the bombast and folk elements of the previous records. The Limited Edition Digipak includes a bonus CD with the instrumental version of the whole album.

There's nobody like Bobby Blue Bland on Duke Records – especially during the early years that are featured on this collection! Bland came out of Memphis with a very unique, really amazing sound right from the start – an approach to blues that was a lot more sophisticated than most of his contemporaries, even those on the LA scene – with lots of jazz in his phrasing, and his backings as well – and this sublime vocal approach that often had Bobby growling in a way that seemed to come from deep down in the depths of his soul, but never in any sort of gimmicky sort of style. Bland was always the perfect balance of cool, class, and outright blues power – and that was never more true than on these sides.

On his 2016 EP, producer Floating Points (nee Sam Shepherd) offers two extended tracks (+ one track on Bonus CD) that occasionally sound like Neu! with steroids and 40 years of additional recording technology on their side.
"For Marmish Part II" is a gentle trip, constructed around a simple piano riff that fades in and out of accompanying collected sounds. Cymbals rustle, a choral whisper descends, or a cheeky synth appears. Without much real development, it avoids becoming tedious through his masterful arrangement.
