Guido Alberto Fano’s vocal chamber works form an important part of his musical output and mark the three crucial phases of his artistic growth. His earliest songs date from the last years of the 19th century, during his period of training and the start of his musical career in Bologna, using texts by local poets such as Angelina de Leva, Luigi Arturo Bresciani and Giuseppe Lipparini. Then, during the first fifteen years of the 20th century, his most “experimental” years, Fano began to draw inspiration from some of the most distinguished names in Italian poetry, including Boccaccio, Carducci and Pascoli.

Slovenian collective Laibach revisit their 1987 masterpiece, Opus Dei, with brand-new interpretations by the group, along with remixes from the record’s original producer and mixer, Rico Conning.

First-ever complete anthology of teenage American band who recorded an unreleased, heavily Beatles-influenced album at Abbey Road in 1969. Includes the full album, outtakes, demos, alternative versions, solo recordings and no less than eleven previously unissued tracks. After a locally-recorded demo attracted the interest of Capitol Records, The Aerovons – Beatles-obsessed teenagers from St. Louis, Missouri - persuaded the company to let them approach EMI with a view to recording at Abbey Road. Three separate visits to England followed, with an impressed EMI overseeing an Aerovons album, recorded March-June 1969 in between the group's trips to Carnaby Street and starstruck encounters with various Beatles and Hollies members.

It presents, at times, as if an electronic travelogue of emotion fronted by the rich baritone of a suave matinée idol troubadour whose influences were unashamedly Moroder, Bowie and Ferry. It is arguably his highly sought after sensuous debut single, the Midge Ure produced 'Torch Songs For The Heroine', which has endured; the hidden gem of the 'Ballad Version' of which bristles with a redolence of Ultravox's 'Vienna' and it's landmark atmospheric, filmic, synth-pop sparseness. The release comes with a 28-page booklet containing both an introduction and comprehensive track-by-track listening notes written by Peter Godwin along with full lyrics and evocative period photographs.

This Spanish maestro was born in the village of Granadella, near the city of Lleida. An important figure in guitar history, he is regarded as the leading spokesman for twentieth century guitar pedagogy. He was a student of Francisco Tarrega. Emilio Pujol His musical studies began with the director of the village band who taught him the sight-singing method, solfeggio. These lessons continued and he also enrolled at the Municipal school of Music in Barcelona.

On September 13, Experience Hendrix L.L.C., in partnership with Legacy Recordings, the catalog division of Sony Music Entertainment, is releasing Electric Lady Studios: A Jimi Hendrix Vision, a deluxe box set offering 39 tracks (38 previously unreleased) that were recorded by the new-look Jimi Hendrix Experience (Billy Cox on bass, Mitch Mitchell on drums) at Electric Lady Studios between June and August of 1970, just before the legendary musician’s untimely death the following month. In celebration of the forthcoming release, on August 8, the City of New York will be temporarily renaming the portion of West 8th Street between 6th Street and MacDougal Street JIMI HENDRIX WAY. This is the block on which Electric Lady Studios was built and still stands. There will also be a media screening event inside the studio that night.

Jethro Tull ring in the holiday season with The Jethro Tull Christmas Album - Fresh Snow at Christmas Edition.
Originally released in 2003, the album has been remixed from the original tapes by Bruce Soord. This limited 4CD+Blu-ray Bookset edition features Bruce's new mixes, as well as the originals across two CD’s. The set also includes a remixed version of Christmas Live at St Brides 2008 plus over 40 minutes of unreleased recordings from a previous performance at St Brides in 2006 by the Ian Anderson Band. The blu-ray includes Dolby Atmos, 5.1 Surround Sound and High Resolution 24/44 Stereo Mixes of The Jethro Tull Christmas Album, as well as High Resolution 24/44 Stereo Mixes of Christmas Live at St Brides 2008. The hard back book contains liner notes and all Burning Shed purchases come with a Jethro Tull Christmas card (whilst stocks last). Ho, ho and ho!

A founder member of SOFT MACHINE, Kevin embarked on a solo career in 1969, signing to EMI’s Harvest label and recording the album ‘JOY OF A TOY’ the same year. It is a mark of Kevin’s stature that his recordings during this period would feature contributions from notable musicians such as arranger and keyboard player DAVID BEDFORD, ROBERT WYATT, SYD BARRETT, MIKE OLDFIELD, LOL COXHILL, STEVE HILLAGE, ARCHIE LEGGET and more. This boxed set includes all of the surviving BBC sessions and In Concert appearances recorded by Kevin during this period, including a previously unreleased John Peel concert from 1970 and other tracks featuring Soft Machine, Bridget St. John and Gong. Other highlights include the inclusion of a complete set recorded at a Hyde Park Free concert in 1970, newly mixed and restored by Stephen W Tayler, previously unreleased session out-takes and a segment from a 1972 concert and a performance at London’s Queen Elizabeth Hall in 1973. Rounding off the set is a region free Blu-ray video disc which includes a series of live performances recorded for French television, along with two sessions for The Old Grey Whistle Test in 1972 and 1973 (with three previous unseen alternate performances from 1972) and the ‘Caribbean Moon’ promotional film.
