A multifaceted composer, the great Burt Bacharach has had big hits in many musical genres, including top 40's, pop, soul, R&B, jazz, bossa nova, country and movie soundtracks. He has collaborated with a variety of great poets including Hal David and Bob Hilliard. This 2-CD edition presents Bacharach's most important and enduring works from the beginning of his career. He composed a number of his great pieces for various labels between 1955 and 1962. This CD includes classics such as Dionne Warwick's Don't Make Me Over, Gene Pitney's Only Love Can Break A Heart, Tommy Hunt's I Just Don't Know What To Do With Myself just to name a few.
