Chesky Records would like to introduce its new Binaural+ Series. Binaural sound has been around for a long time, but until now it was just for headphones and could not be enjoyed on speakers. Our Binaural+ Series recordings sound great on headphones and speakers, and capture the sound of music as you would if you were sitting in front of the band. The Binaural+ Series sessions were recorded in high-resolution sound with a special Binaural head (a “dummy” human head with specially calibrated microphones where the ears would be).

Wycliffe Gordon, a master of the trombone, trumpet and sousaphone has always been known as impressive. His bubbling, barking sousaphone accentuates the lively band’s instrumentation in "Dreams of New Orleans". Gordon injects clever intros and surprising twists that breathe new life into these unforgettable songs from the ragtime era and the birth of hot jazz. From his upbeat and smooth "St. Louis Blues" to the down tempo political “Down By the Riverside”, Gordon brings a gorgeous range of Jazz Music that makes you feel like your right in front of him and the rest of band performing live. Utilizing the Chesky Records Binaural style "Dreams of New Orleans" sounds fresh, crystal clear and live with a polished sheen.

With "Jazz In The New Harmonic" David Chesky fuses 21st century classical harmonies with his city's rhythms to create a new genre of jazz. The album liberates the pulse, soul, energy, and groove from past traditions, it's the first encounter with the transcendental music of our age. The Chesky Records' Binaural+ recording technique, fit for both speakers and headphones, captures the timeless sound of musicians playing in great acoustic settings. And now, starting with the Binaural+ sessions, Chesky Records has taken that approach to the next level. Singer-Songwriter Amber Rubarth, Cellist Dave Eggar, Violinist Tim Snider and Percussionist Chuck Palmer join forces, and combine their unique musical vocabulary to create Sessions from the 17th Ward. Together, this innovative team fuses classic songwriting and acoustic music to create a sexy, yet sophisticated album.

Candido Camero was born on April 22nd, 1921 in Barrio Cerro, Havana, Cuba. Candido has become an important star in the jazz world, as well as the Afro Cuban genre, performing and recording with Machito's Afro Cubans, Billie Holiday, Billy Taylor, Dizzy Gillespie, Charlie Parker, Duke Ellington, Stan Kenton and recently with Tony Bennett. The list goes on and on. He has transformed the conga drum into an international instrument used in all genres of music.

Called "one of the great voices of today", Alexis Cole has been compared to classic jazz singers such as Sarah Vaughan and Anita O'Day. Her luxurious voice and innovative interpretations make her an instant favorite with audiences of all ages. Cole is the recipient of a Swing Journal Gold Disk award, and has won the NY Jazzmobile and Montreux Jazz Festival vocal competitions.

"Safe Home" is the 2017 album from the venerated songwriter, Livingston Taylor, who is celebrating his 50th anniversary of making music. Featuring a world class band of Shelly Berg (piano), David Finck (bass), Bashiri Johnson (percussion), and Chelsea Berry (vocals), the album gives playful bend to musical classics like "Anything You Can Do", and also presents Livingston originals such as "I Must Be Doing Something Right". Livingston Taylor's career as a professional musician has spanned 50 years.

The David Hazeltine Trio successfully undertakes well-known classical works and reinvents them through jazz. Joined by George Mraz on bass and Jason Brown on drums, Hazeltine is able to reformat these classics into high energy, sweet swinging, syncopated adaptations of their originals. The group tackles works by composers: Bach, Chopin, Debussy, Tchaikovsky, and Beethoven; restructuring their works all the while keeping them audibly recognisable.

CC Coletti is back with "Bring It On Home". The album was recorded by Chesky Records using a new Binaural+ style. Her powerful, warm voice combined with the well respected guitarist/producer Anthony Krizan brings a new and modern play on songs like, Led Zeppelin’s “Rock And Roll”, Howlin' Wolf’s “Killing Floor” and many more.
