Jordan O’Neill non è un fan delle etichette: ne ha già fin troppe. Gay, geek, bibliotecario, inetto sociale, cianciatore nervoso, introverso, outsider. L’ultima cosa che gli serve è aggiungerne delle altre, ma quando si accorge che l’etichetta “asessuale” potrebbe spiegare molte cose, il suo mondo viene capovolto. Hennessy Lang si è trasferito a Surry Hills dopo aver rotto con il suo ragazzo. La sua asessualità ha determinato la fine di molte sue relazioni sentimentali, ma è determinato a restare fedele a se stesso. Sentendo la mancanza del gruppo di supporto che aveva a North Shore, ne fonda uno nuovo a Surry Hills, e lì conosce Jordan che ha appena trovato il coraggio di parteciparvi.
