The Bob Baldwin love affair with Brazil began with his love of Antonio Carlos Jobim, Joao Gilberto and Sergio Mendes as a child. His love elevated when he witnessed the marriage of American Funk/Jazz and the Samba/Bossa Nova sound, which was later explored by the likes of Djavan, Ivan Lins, Elaine Elias, George Duke, Maurice White, and Pat Metheny. German rock icon Phillip Boa and his band Phillip Boa and the Voodooclub, in collaboration with Universal Music, are pleased to announce the re-release of the groundbreaking album Boaphenia on the occasion of the 30th anniversary.
Released in 1993, due to their music-critical as well as commercial success, the album represented a true turning point in the band's career and is now considered a cult classic.
