The Henry Mancini family continues to celebrate what would have been the late legendary composer’s 100th birthday with the announcement of Dinner at Mancini’s, a lo-fi celebratory retrospective album to be released on Friday, August 30th via Primary Wave Music and Downtown Music Services.

The third installment of Cold Chisel’s Live Tapes series shows the band in full voice, just as East was released. Nine songs from that album make the cut here, as well as spot-on covers of “Shakin’ All Over” and “Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door”. It’s a sweaty time capsule, immortalised right before Cold Chisel would break it big with East tracks “Choirgirl” and “Cheap Wine”. Vol. 3 is a reminder that you can take the band out of the pub, but you can’t take the pub out of the band.

Sothebys Auction Tapes is a bootleg CD by The Jimi Hendrix Experience. The recordings are taken from tapes given to Hendrix girlfriend Kathy Etchingham, then placed up for auction in 1981. These were also released as Axis: Bold As Love Sessions and The Axis Sessions, and they are the songs from the album mixed differently and a few songs that were not used on the final album.
