Do the math, and the E Street Band’s return in 1999 is inching ever closer to being the midpoint of their overall career—a line to be reached in 2026, at which point it will have been 27 years from the start of Reunion; and Reunion itself was 27 years after the band formed in 1972. Time flies.

July 4, 2012 includes special Fourth of July performances of "Sandy" and a solo-piano "Independence Day." Night two at the Bercy in Paris sees Bruce change up the setlist dramatically, offering 15 different songs to night one, including an outstanding run of six to start the show: "The Ties That Bind," "No Surrender," "Two Hearts," "Downbound Train," "Candy's Room" and "Something In The Night."

The conquering heroes return. At the height of the Born In The U.S.A. tour, Bruce and the E Street Band come home to New Jersey for a six-show stand at Giants Stadium. The 8/22/85 performance delivers large-format editions of ten songs from the album, including "I'm Going Down," "Working On The Highway," "Glory Days," "Downbound Train" and the title track, along with "Seeds," "Atlantic City," "Trapped" "Pink Cadillac," "Cadillac Ranch" and "This Land Is Your Land."

When news first emerged in late 1989 that the E Street Band had been dismissed indefinitely by Bruce Springsteen, it began nine years of uncertainty and speculation as to when, if ever, they would join forces again. They did come back together to record new material for Greatest Hits in 1995 and undertook a small series of promotional appearances in support of it, but the fact that they parted ways again without touring only made the odds of a full return feel even longer.

Philadelphia October 14, 2009 showcases Darkness On The Edge Of Town and includes standout performances of "Something In The Night," "Streets Of Fire" and "Prove It All Night." Beyond Darkness, the 26-song set opens on a high note with vintage barnstormer "Thundercrack," and features the only live version to date of Working On A Dream gem "What Love Can Do," plus "Sherry Darling," "Human Touch," "Long Walk Home" and a special "Gonna Fly Now" trumpet solo intro to "Rosalita.
