A multi-faceted, veteran poet and singer-songwriter whose work defies classification. Founder of the folk group Grup de Folk (1967), “father” of Catalan rock… Pau’s long career has embraced many genres and countless styles, and his interests now focus on recycling and on toy and invented instruments. Now working particularly with third-generation young musicians, Riba was a key figure in the late-20th-century Catalan underground movement. His vast discography features such titles as "Dioptria" (1970), still considered the Number One Catalan pop-rock record, voted best album of the 20th century by the magazine Enderrock. Other outstanding efforts include "Jo, La donya i el Gripau" (1971), recorded in the open air on the island of Formentera, and "Licors" (1977), a brilliant example of a sound collage.

Ben Van Oosten is a major star in the Organ World. He has recorded many complete works for organ. The Dupre series is very well played. One of van Oosten's greatest strengths is in full evidence: his ability to find the melody, anywhere, any time. The piece (even when struggling with the metronome) sings at his hands! Only amateurs and connoisseurs of organ music know this exceptional French composer, surely one of the most important of the XXth Century … It is necessary to discover it and for those who do not know him the CD is a good way to access his work….

It was also nominated for three Emmy Awards. The special was a thematic and "behind the scenes" based program with interspersed live performances. A majority of the material on the album was meant for the singer's unreleased project The Singer while other songs included were previously released in prior years. Following the distribution of the soundtrack for the 1973 film of the same name, Columbia added a caption to Streisand's LP (Featuring the Hit Single "The Way We Were" and "All in Love Is Fair") in order to minimize confusion between the two albums.

It seems fair to say that, when it was released in March 1965, Bob Dylan's "Subterranean Homesick Blues" was totally unexpected by most people, that it sounded like nothing anybody had ever heard before, and that it utterly transformed Bob Dylan's career and the history of popular music along with it..

"The Broadway Album" is the 24th studio album by director, composer, actress and singer Barbra Streisand, released by Columbia Records on November 4, 1985. Consisting mainly of classic show tunes, the album marked a major shift in Barbra Streisand's career. Streisand had spent ten years appearing in musicals and singing standards on her albums in the 1960s. Beginning with the album "Stoney End" in 1971 and ending with the album "Emotion" in 1984, Streisand sang mostly rock, pop, folk, and disco-oriented songs for Columbia Records. Noted Broadway composer Stephen Sondheim personally penned additional lyrics for the songs "Putting It Together" and "Send in the Clowns" on request of the singer. The album, originally released on the Columbia label and subsequently re-released by Columbia and Sony Records, was a critical and commercial success. First certified Gold by the RIAA on January 13, 1986, it reached four times Platinum on January 31, 1995.
