In answer to an offer from Nicole Barclay, Chet Baker arrived in Paris early in September 1955. On the 22nd — or maybe the 23rd — he signed a contract to make seven records… (The figure was later erased and replaced by 'three', which turned out to be correct).

Chet Atkins Goes to the Movies is the forty-seventh studio album by guitarist Chet Atkins, released in 1975. Chet won the 1976 Best Country Instrumental Performance Grammy for "The Entertainer". He and Jerry Reed were also nominated that year for their performance of "Colonel Bogey".

Chet is an album by jazz trumpeter Chet Baker first released in 1959. The record is sometimes subtitled The Lyrical Trumpet of Chet Baker.

Soft, delicate and serene, Chet Baker's voice is one of jazz's overlooked talents. Every serious jazz fan is well aware of his trumpet playing, both solo and with Gerry Mulligan's Quartet. His legendary style on the instrument helped establish his standing as one of the horn's most influential players. Baker was also an amazing vocalist; his debut recording My Funny Valentine serves as generous proof.

In 1959 while in Italy, Chet Baker was showcased playing trumpet and (on five of the ten songs) singing a set of ballads while backed by a large string section. Fans will want this set but, due to the mundane string arrangements and the lack of variety, more general collectors should acquire his earlier jazz-oriented dates first.
