Celine Dion Chanson D'amour (2006)

Chanson D'Amour is a French-language compilation album by Canadian singer Celine Dion. Also known as Gold, Vol. 1, originally released in France by Versailles on 2 October 1995. It features fourteen rare songs recorded between 1982 and 1988, including the Eurovision-winning "Ne partez pas sans moi". Later, the album was also released in other countries around the world. It was issued under many different titles, with many different covers, and by various music labels. Gold Vol. 1 was certified 2× Gold in France, where it peaked at number thirty on the chart. It also charted in Belgium Wallonia, Japan and the United Kingdom.

Celine Dion began work on Encore un Soir in the summer of 2015 when her husband Rene Angelil was quite ill. He passed away in January 2016, around the midpoint of the sessions, so it could stand to reason the album was a way for Dion to work through her grief, but this French-language record isn't quite as simple as that. For one, Dion's art isn't strictly autobiographical; she may pour herself into her performances but a correlation between her personal life and her recordings isn't easy to draw. Secondly, Encore un Soir is evenly divided between pop tunes and ballads, not too dissimilar from her usual albums.

Celine Dion's A l'Olympia was recorded live at the legendary Parisian venue shortly after she scored her first U.S. chart-topper with "The Power of Love," which is included here. Therefore, the material on this disc consists mostly of early English-language hits ("Where Does My Heart Beat Now" and "Love Can Move Mountains"), and selections from her first U.S. French-language release, Dion Chante Plamondon, including the rousing "Des Mots qui Sonnent," "Le Blues du Businessman," and "Ziggy." There are two tracks on this collection which are unique to this album, those being the beautiful "Elle" and her version of the Bagdad Café theme, "Calling You." Also included is her take on the Jacques Brel song "Quand on n'a que l'Amour" and a medley (titled "Medley Starmania") of Luc Plamondon songs. The material sounds great live, her voice as always a technical marvel, but with three live import CDs already on the market, and with some songs repeated, this album is destined for collectors.

Sony Music Entertainment Canada/Columbia Records have released LOVE AGAIN (Soundtrack from The Motion Picture). The 14-track album features five new Celine Dion songs, including the title track, “Love Again,” and the latest song, “I’ll Be.”

Let's Talk About Love includes Dion's biggest hit, "My Heart Will Go On". Written by James Horner and Will Jennings, and serving as the love theme for the 1997 blockbuster film Titanic, "My Heart Will Go On" topped the charts around the world, and has become Dion's signature song.
