Charles Aznavour C'est ça (2004)

"Autobiographie" is the 30th French studio album by the French-Armenian singer Charles Aznavour, released in 1980. In 1980 the album became #5 in France (42 weeks). The album includes songs by Charles Aznavour and Georges Garvarentz. One of the songs, Une Vie D'amour performed also in Russian, became a worldwide-hit.

It was in Top 10 charts in France, Italy, Belgium, Israel and other countries. The title track to this album is one of Charles Aznavour's earliest hits, a number one single in France for 15 weeks and ranked among the top songs of the year in Italy. In addition to Aznavour's original songs, the album features tunes penned by Georges Garvarentz, Michel Legrand and producer Eddie Barclay.

This reissue of a 1966 Charles Aznavour album includes the title track, one of his signature songs and biggest international hits, a number one single in France. Another song on this collection, Parce que tu crois, has been translated into several other languages and sampled by such modern day artists as Dr. Dre and Eminem.

Charles Aznavour was a French and Armenian singer, lyricist, actor and diplomat. Aznavour was known for his distinctive tenor voice: clear and ringing in its upper reaches, with gravelly and profound low notes. In a career as a composer, singer and songwriter, spanning over 70 years, he recorded approximately more than 1,200 songs interpreted in 9 languages. Moreover, he wrote or co-wrote more than 1,000 songs for himself and others.
