La-La Land Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 1990 horror sequel Child’s Play 2 directed by John Lafia and starring Alex Vincent, Jenny Agutter and Christine Elise. The album features the film’s original music composed by Graeme Revell (The Crow, Tomb Raider, Dead Calm, Daredevil, The Siege, Pitch Black). Shirley Walker (Final Destination, Memoirs of an Invisible Man) conducted and orchestrated the score. The CD, which is limited to 3,000 copies, marks the sixth title in the Universal Pictures Film Music Heritage Collection.

Bear McCreary - Child's Play (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) (2019) Music

Sony Classical will release the official soundtrack album for the Child’s Play reboot. The album features the film’s original music composed by Bear McCreary (Godzilla: King of the Monsters, 10 Cloverfield Lane, The Walking Dead, Battlestar Galactica, Happy Death Day, Outlander). The soundtrack will be released digitally on June 14, 2019 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Child’s Play is directed by Lars Klevberg and stars Aubrey Plaza, Brian Tyree Henry, Gabriel Bateman, as well as Mark Hamill as the voice of Chucky. The movie based on the 1988 classic of the same title follows a single mother who gifts her son a Buddi doll, unaware of its more sinister nature. The horror film will be released in theaters nationwide on June 21 by Orion Pictures.

"Celeste" is an RPI band from Sanremo, Italy that formed in 1972. The band put an album in 1976, disbanded in 1977, and reformed in 2016. There were 2 other albums, one released in 1991 that featured tracks from 1977 before they disbanded, and 1992 which was music for a soundtrack released in 1974. Since then, they have reformed the band with mostly new members, and in January 2019, they finally released a new album called "Il Risveglio del Principe" with new material.

Lonerider is a new band featuring some experienced names that sees FM vocalist team-up again with guitarist Steve Morris (they both recorded together under the Heartland name) and Bad Company drummer Simon Kirke (who played with Steve and his brother Chris’s first band Wildlife back in the early 80’s). Thunder and Tyketto bassist Chris Childs and Brian J Anthony (acoustic guitars, mandolin, percussion) complete the line-up.Every once in a while a new recording comes along with a line-up that makes your spine tingle, and here it is: "Attitude" by Lonerider. Not only does this quintet feature Steve Overland (FM, Solo, Shadowman), Steve Morris (Heartland, Shadowman) and Chris Childs (Thunder), but also legendary drummer Simon Kirke of Free and Bad Company fame. With Brain J. Anthony finishing the line-up, we have a real force to be reckoned with. What are we to expect from this group of musicians? If you like Bad Company, then this is going to be a treat for you.

To play bebop, one needs to deal with two competing impulses: master the instrument – amass the fluency required to float at heightened tempi, navigate harmonic complexities and execute ornamented lines that are part of this music’s tradition – and utilize a relaxed phraseology that is anything but frenetic and that comes across as “not trying too hard.” No doubt, to play with the sort of authenticity that stellar musicians Tardo Hammer, Lee Hudson and Steve Williams bring to Hammer’s Swinging On A Star is difficult. But to listeners, the effort is hidden, the inventive spirit of musical collaboration and taste displayed.
