The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat is a chamber opera based on Oliver Sacks's book of the same name. A true story, it takes the form of a neurological case-study; Dr P, a professional singer, suffers from visual agnosia—an inability to recognize or make sense of what he sees—and the opera describes in simple, unpretentious dialogue two consultation sessions during which the other two characters, the neurologist (Dr S) and the patient's wife (Mrs P), by way of a sequence of tests and conversations, gradually penetrate the mystery of the symptoms.

"Kiss" is a song written and originally performed by Kiss but it was covered in 1988 by British electronic group The Art Of Noise. This was released in support of their compilation album The Best Of The Art Of Noise. "Kiss" is a duet with singer Tom Jones and it became a hit in the process. This American promotional compact disc was sent to radio to help music directors figure out which would be the preferred version of "Kiss" to play on the air, as it has three different mixes, including the version that is on the 45 rpm record. This was released on China Records.
