2016 has been a stellar year for experimental hip hop luminary DJ Shadow, aka Josh Davis, with the release of his critically acclaimed studio album The Mountain Will Fall – his first release in five years – drawing praise from all corners, from the Guardian who called the record “impressive in its inventiveness” to MOJO who claimed “Shadow is back in the frame” and AV Club who hailed it as “DJ Shadow’s best work since his early-aughts heyday”. Pre-Emptive Strike is a 1998 compilation album by American artist/producer Josh Davis, known under the pseudonym DJ Shadow. Released on 13 January, 1998, it features many of his singles he did before the release of his debut album, Endtroducing and his then-latest single, "High Noon". This CD also features a bonus disc of various Shadow songs mixed by DJ Q-Bert called Camel Bobsled Race, which had been released in UK as a stand-alone disc.
