Compiled by Chris Squire (in case you're wondering how "The Fish" made it this far upstream), Classic Yes was Atlantic's initial attempt to distill the band's best music. The key to this collection is in the title: this is the band's "classic" music. Anything prior to The Yes Album is cut out, no attempt is made to salvage snippets from Relayer or Tales from Topographic Oceans; Drama and Tormato are dispensed with…

The key to this collection is in the title: this is the band's "classic" music. Anything prior to The Yes Album is cut out, no attempt is made to salvage snippets from Relayer or Tales from Topographic Oceans; Drama and Tormato are dispensed with. What remains is what made this band great: the science fiction and fantasy-laced epics, the tangible wizardry of their arrangements, moments that crystallized the magical power of music, and two unreleased live tracks from 1978 that find the band tethered to the realm of mortals."

YES are the most successful and longest lived of all the progressive rock bands that appeared in the late sixties / early seventies, still releasing albums and playing to packed houses nearly forty years from their formation. This 5CD box set includes their three most recent studio albums: "Open Your Eyes", "The Ladder" and "Magnification" plus their 1994 album "Talk". The fifth CD sees the first ever release of highlights from their live concert at Montreux in 2003.

Thank you Voiceprint for finally re-releasing this fantastic live film on DVD. The live CD album of this show has long been a favourite of mine and here I have the complete show in both audio and video. For those of you who don't know, Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe it is the band that really deserved to be called Yes in the 80's, much more so than the line-up that owned the rights to that name during that time.

Open Your Eyes is the seventeenth studio album by the English rock band Yes, released in November 1997 by Eagle Records in the UK and by Beyond Music in the US. Following the 1996 revival of the 1970s "classic" line-up of Yes, the band's relationship with management had broken down and keyboardist Rick Wakeman had once again left the band. While various other members dispersed, guitarist, keyboardist, and producer Billy Sherwood (a long-time Yes associate and contributor) began developing new songs with band bassist and de facto leader Chris Squire to prevent the band from losing momentum and fully splitting. Yes' new management company suggested adding a couple of songs originally written for Squire and Sherwood's other band Conspiracy to help build up material for a new Yes studio album. With the writing and production sessions dominated by Squire and Sherwood, and with singer Jon Anderson, guitarist Steve Howe and drummer Alan White only involved later in the process, the writing and creative input of the latter three members was limited.

This was the very first Yes bootleg album . It was recorded live in Amsterdam in January 1972 during Yes' classic 1972 period with the classic Yes lineup which at that time had Bill Bruford on drums. The sound quality is fantastic and professionally recorded…

Fragile Records in association with Esoteric Recordings are pleased to announce the release of a new 4-disc clamshell box set An Evening of Yes Music Plus, the classic live recording by Anderson, Bruford, Wakeman, Howe. At the close of the 1980s, fans of Progressive rock were delighted and surprised to learn that former members of Yes, namely Jon Anderson, Bill Bruford, Rick Wakeman and Steve Howe were reuniting to record a studio album and to tour the World. The resulting self-titled studio album was originally issued on Arista Records in 1989 and was a global hit. This release was followed by hugely successful world tour. A concert at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California was captured both on video and in sound resulting in both a double CD and a long form video in 1993. The set features classic Yes material alongside live renditions of material from the ABWH self-titled album. This new remastered edition features the entire concert on two CDs, and also includes the full concert video on a region free DVD. Also included is an additional region free DVD, ‘In the Big Dream’, featuring promotional videos and interviews.
