Crossing The Digital Faultline

This book, one of three volumes, showcases the effective transformation of companies providing banking and insurance services. This first volume gives a business-oriented introduction to the setting and the current challenges of fintech, regtech, and insurtech and provides an outlook on what will be needed in the future. Specific sub-departments in financial services are examined with a view to accounting, risk, and regulatory segments.

Following the spontaneous and intimate beginnings, Wøllo expands the horizons by seamlessly adding speckles of synthesizers and sequenced rhythmic elements to the sonic excursion built upon his guitar and looping pedal compositions. This minimal album is characterized by simplicity and clarity across the forty-five minutes of emotionally engaging ambient pieces.

This carefully selected programme by the multi award-winning Mare Duo presents some of the best original music written for mandolin and guitar, showing both instruments as equal chamber music partners in works both challenging and beautiful. The Duos surprising range and variety of timbre can be heard from Funk Pearsons highly atmospheric Mountain Moor, and the intercultural sketches by Thomas Allen LeVines, to Guido Santórsola's lyrical Sonata No. 6. Ernst Krenek's Suite is a late masterpiece that embraces virtuosity, intimacy and quirky wit, with a dramatic mini-opera as its finale, while Monk Feldman depicts an elusive ocean landscape in The Pale Blue Northern Sky.

Harpist Bridget Kibbey makes her Pentatone debut with Crossing the Ocean. Via virtuosic soundscapes to driving grooves, Kibbey takes the concert harp to uncharted territory in precision, sound, and verve, by merging traditional music with the contemporary via six newly-commissioned works she has curated, by an international set of composers: Kati Agócs, Kinan Azmeh, David Bruce, Avner Dorman, Paquito d’Rivera, and DuYun.
