The instrument was for a long time the privileged vehicle of spiritual meditation for Messiaen, who used it to explore all the possibilities of his instrumental language and succeeded in renewing his musical aesthetic without ever renouncing tradition.

When Analog Africa founder Samy Ben Redjeb arrived in Mogadishu in November of 2016, he was informed by his host that he would have to be accompanied at all times by an armed escort while in the country. The next morning, a neighbour and former security guard put on a military uniform, borrowed an AK-47 from somewhere and escorted him to Via Roma, an historical street in the heart of Hamar-Weyne, the city's oldest district. Although previous Analog Africa releases have demonstrated a willingness to go more than the extra air-mile to track down the stories behind the music, the trip to Mogadishu was a musical journey of a different kind. It was the culmination of an odyssey that had started many years earlier.

To kick off our 6th year, Steyoyoke Recordings is thrilled to unveil “Quadrivium”. A brand new project where each volume will feature four tracks from four different artists. Volume 01 presents tracks from talented producers such as Matchy & Lunar Plane, Strinner, Lost Soul and K.A.L.I.L.. Matchy and Lunar Plane open the EP with an original track titled “Brahman”. Its infectious beat instantly sets on a journey through light and dark where a hypnotizing dialogue of synths unveils wonders. Next up is “Continuum” by Strinner. The track starts off with strong beats that awaken emotions while melodies emerge in a constant motion of progressive rhythm and echoing synths…

This Japanese collection features mostly early Cliff Richard hits, beginning with his first, "Move It," which was released in 1958, through his so-called comeback years in the late 1970s, including his only U.S. hit, 1976's "Devil Woman."
