Formed as soon as 68 under the name psychotic reaction, this band evolved in two different era, the group changed their name to Missus Beastly (from the Negro doll Mistress Beastly) but was among the first of the jazz-rock progressive group in Germany, but folded after just one album recorded (soon bootlegged with a totally different artwork) in early 70 with a nascent groundbreaking jazz-rock. It must be said that the happy-go-lucky feeling of that era had the group evolve from the standard prog quartet to a sextet and even a heptet within months, obviously not too worried about financial matters, which soon brought the band to an end. The group even managed to have their names stolen from them and an usurping group managed to release a few albums under this name…

Initially named "The Blue Velvets" the band was founded by singer/guitarist, John Fogerty in 1959. Renamed "Credence Clearwater Revival" in 1967, C.C.R. went onto achieve massive public attention with their debut, self-titled album in 1968. This DVD features their amazing performance at the Royal Alabert Hall, London in 1970, two years prior to their eventual break up in 1972. A rare complete live performance from one of the pillars of American rock music.

Formed in 1972, this ethnic/kraut jazz quintet (Jochen Leuschner, Reinhard Karwatky, Gerd Bock-Ehrmann, Deiter Kramer, and Ludwig Braun) released their self titled album the same year in a relative discretion. This album made an exploration in long / space rock improvisations relied on jazz grooves and weird electro -acoustic sounds. The "ethnic", mystical elements are obvious notably due to the acoustic percussions rhythm sections. Compositions are mainly instrumental and improvised, brightly showing the technical capacities of the musicians. After several departures the band will be organised under a trio form, recording in 1973 the seminal "Time Machine". This album features astonishing manifestations of freaky fusion jazz exercises mixed with weird experimentations and mysticism. This album was recorded at Dieter Dierk's mythical studio…

First Key (1974). For the first time as a reissue on CD. The first and eponymous album of classical rock influenced great German krautrockers Amos Key. Amos Key owed great debts to Bach, Beethoven and Schumann, adding a heavy krautrock twist to a music closely resembling the Nice or Egg, full of angst and weird psychedelic and space-rock touches (Freeman Brothers: In A Crack In The Cosmic Egg). Amos Key lived in Munich and consisted of great organ-player Thomas Molin, congenial bass-player Andreas Gross and superb drummer Lutz Ludwig. This fairly competent outfit recorded the album on label 'Spiegelei' just after they recorded their radio sessions (Amos Key, Keynotes, The Lost Tapes, SWF Session 1973). Sadly bandleader and organ-player Thomas Molin passed away in the 90ies but bass-player Andreas Gross tells the band story in a very vivid and funny way…

The Smell of Incense are a Norwegian prog/psych band with roots in the mid eighties and a long, sordid history that includes connections to such hardcore and obscure Scandinavian D.I.Y. acts as The New Incredible Headcleaners, Famlende Forsøk, Ym:Stammen, and Døve Munker. Smell have existed as a fluid and sporadic lineup for years, issuing just three studio albums along a handful of singles and collaborations in since 1986. The band's debut album 'All Mimsy Were the Borogoves' consisted mostly of a number of little-known as well as irreverent covers, while their later releases focused more on original material blending pop, folk, trip-hop and heavy psych for a unique sound reflecting both the psychedelic traditional and experimentation present in much of modern Scandinavian progressive music…

When Swedish artist Solar Fields (Magnus Birgersson) meets French artist Aes Dana (Vincent Villuis)… the outcome is H.U.V.A. Network, a downtempo project where North and South regions mix and jumble together in a fluid manner. The pair of sound architects explore ambient-electronica landscapes and their multiple layouts. Their works are thought out and composed in two studios: Studio Jupiter (Göteborg, Sweden) and Ultimae Studio (Lyon, France). Musical works and ideas are conceived in these two creation poles via a few travels and a high speed internet network connection, thus breaking "Distances" (2004) which separate the two composers…

Originally released in 1970 as Broth - Broth. New York-based band formed in the late 60s. Most of the members were from Cuba and Puerto Rico and their sound was an amalgamation of Latin-tinged funk, jazz and psychedelic rock. The album was produced by Steve Verroca who was a very well known producer, musician and songwriter (he also penned all of the songs except “Louie Louie”) who also collaborated with the likes of Link Wray, Kevin Coyne and Juicy Lucy among others. The band was only album to release 1 album and 1 7" single during their existence.
