Stacey Menear who scripted the first movie wrote the screenplay. Tom Rosenberg & Gary Lucchesi (Underworld, The Lincoln Lawyer) and Eric Reid (Peppermint) are producing the project for Lakeshore Entertainment, alongside Matt Berenson (Daddy Day Care), Jim Wedaa (Unstoppable) and Roy Lee (It, The Lego Movie). Detar has previously collaborated with Bell (Stay Alive) on the features The Devil Inside and Wer. The original 2016 The Boy movie was scored by Bear McCreary. Brahms: The Boy 2 is currently scheduled to be released on December 6, 2019 by STX Entertainment.
