Directed by Robert Rodriguez and produced by James Cameron, Alita: Battle Angel is a cyberpunk action film based on Yukito Kishiro's famous manga. Marcello De Francisci is a composer based in Los Angeles, California. The Beach Bum is the new film by provocateur filmmaker Harmony Korine (Spring Breakers). Walt Disney Records has announced the official soundtrack album for Jon Favreau’s The Lion King. The album features features new recordings of the original songs written by Elton John and Tim Rice for the 1994 animated classic, the score by Hans Zimmer (Gladiator, Inception, The Dark Knight) who received his first Academy Award for the animated movie, plus African vocal and choir arrangements by Grammy-winning South African producer and composer Lebo M. Also included Pharrell Williams produced five songs on the soundtrack.

Anne Dudley is scoring the upcoming comedy The Hustle. The film is directed by Chris Addison (Veep) and stars Rebel Wilson, Anne Hathaway, Alex Sharp, Tim Blake Nelson and Ingrid Oliver. The movie is a remake of 1988’s Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (scored by Miles Goodman) and revolves around a pair of scammers -one low-rent and the other high-class – competing to swindle a naive tech prodigy out of his fortune. Jac Schaeffer (Olaf’s Frozen Adventure) wrote the screenplay. Wilson is also producing the project with Roger Birnbaum (Rush Hour, The Magnificent Seven, While You Were Sleeping). The Hustle is set to be released in theaters nationwide on June 29, 2018 by MGM.

UMC/Walt Disney Records are releasing the original motion picture soundtrack for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. The album features a new score conducted and composed by five-time Academy Award-winning composer John Williams.
