A hand injury ended the performance career of pianist/guitarist Jeff Danna but his dream was kept alive with his transition to soundtrack composing. Using his score for the Warner Brothers television revival of Kung Fu: The Legend Continues, which he composed shortly after moving to Los Angeles in 1991, as a springboard, Danna became one of the top composers of television soundtracks. His resume includes composing the scores of more than one hundred and fifty shows including Beverly Hills 90210, Sweating Bullets, and A&E Biography and made-for-TV films including the Matthew Shepard Story and Baby.

Sony Music announces the release of A Hidden Life (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) with music by Grammy- and Emmy-award winning composer, conductor and producer James Newton Howard. Available Friday, December 6, the album features music from the Terrence Malick-directed film, which makes its theatrical debut Friday, December 13 via Fox Searchlight.

There are TWO versions of The song “Daily Battles” on the Motherless Brooklyn soundtrack. The first was written by multiple Grammy Award-winning artist Thom Yorke, who, along with his Atoms For Peace bandmate Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers), performs a sparse and emotionally captivating version of the song.

Like the movie which spawned this soundtrack, this isn't all that bad, but neither is it a lost classic. "Catch Us If You Can," a big hit, is the obvious highlight, and the raucous '50s-styled "Having a Wild Weekend" is OK. "Don't Be Taken In," a fine downbeat Beatlesque midtempo tune that is strongly reminiscent of the "No Reply" kind of material on Beatles for Sale, is a genuinely overlooked gem, but it appears on the History compilation. There are a couple of kinda neat surf-drag-spy-movie type instrumentals with dirty sax, and probably no group harmonized with as much exuberance on shabby original material as the Five did on their album filler, but this isn't an essential addition even for DC5 fans. Note how they try to tap into a Walker Brothers vibe on "Don't You Realize."

Spider-Man: Far From Home (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) is the film score to the Columbia Pictures / Marvel Studios film Spider-Man: Far From Home composed by Michael Giacchino. The soundtrack album will be released by Sony Classical on June 28, 2019.
Spider-Man: Homecoming composer Michael Giacchino was confirmed to return to score Far From Home in October 2018. Like the first film, the score includes an instrumental version of the theme song from the 1960s animated Spider-Man series for the Marvel Studios opening logo.

EuropaCorp will release the official soundtrack album for Luc Besson’s action thriller Anna. The album features the film’s original music composed by Eric Serra (Leon: The Professional, The Fifth Element, GoldenEye, La Femme Nikita, Lucy, The Big Blue). Also included is Beauty Freak’s song My Beauty. The soundtrack will be released digitally next Wednesday, July 10. A CD version will be available overseas a few days later. Anna is written and directed by Besson and stars Sasha Luss, Luke Evans, Cillian Murphy and Helen Mirren. The thriller is now playing in U.S. theaters and will open in other markets over the next few weeks.
