David Buckley (The Good Wife, Angel Has Fallen, The Forbidden Kingdom, Nobody, Papillon, Greenland, The Stranger) provides the original soundtrack for the Netflix Original Series The Sandman.The show is based on Neil Gaiman’s DC comic book series of the same name and stars Tom Sturridge, Gwendolyn Christie, Sanjeev Bhaskar, Asim Chaudhry, Charles Dance, Vivienne Acheampong, Boyd Holbrook, Mason Alexander Park, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Jenna Coleman, Donna Preston, Niamh Walsh, Joely Richardson, David Thewlis, Stephen Fry, Kyo Ra, Razane Jammal, Sandra James Young and Patton Oswalt. The fantasy drama follows the people and places affected by Morpheus, the Dream King, as he mends the cosmic – and human – mistakes he’s made during his vast existence.

Emmy nominated composer David Buckley has just finished scoring Angel Has Fallen starring Gerard Butler and Morgan Freeman for Lionsgate, and is currently scoring the upcoming animated feature Arctic Justice. Other recent credits include the remake of Papillon starring Charlie Hunnam & Rami Malek, Jason Bourne directed by Paul Greengrass and The Nice Guys for Shane Black and Joel Silver. Previous film scores include the Joel Schumacher-directed thrillers Trespass and Blood Creek, Ben Affleck’s crime drama The Town, Taylor Hackford’s action feature Parker and Rob Minkoff’s fantasy adventure The Forbidden Kingdom.

The thriller is being released in theaters nationwide this weekend by Lionsgate.

Papillon is directed by Michael Noer and stars Charlie Hunnam, Rami Malek, Yorick Can Wagenhingen, Roland Møller, Tommy Flanagan and Eve Hewson. The movie is based on the books Papillon and Banco by Henri Charrière and tells the story of a safecracker from the Parisian underworld who is framed for murder and condemned to life in the notorious penal colony on Devils Island. The drama will be released in theaters this weekend by Bleecker Street.

Greenland is directed by Ric Roman Waugh and stars Gerard Butler, Morena Baccarin, Roger Dale Floyd, Scott Glenn, David Denman, Hope Davis, Andrew Bachelor and Joshua Mikel. The movie follows a family who fights for survival as a planet-killing comet races to Earth and make a perilous journey to their only hope for sanctuary. The drama opened in several international markets over the last couple of weeks and is set to be released in the U.S. later this year by STX Entertainment.
