(Southgerman newspaper)As a conductor and composer, David Philip Hefti has worked with numerous orchestras and ensembles, such as the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich, the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, the ORF Radio-Symphony Orchestra Vienna and the Ensemble Modern. He was awarded the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation's Composer's Prize and the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival's Hindemith Prize. In response to his CD Changements, he was praised by the Neue Zürcher Zeitung for his "excellent mastery of the orchestral apparatus" as a composer and conductor.
