David Gilmour's Live in Gdansk was recorded and filmed in 2006 at the Polish city's shipyards, the very same historic location where Lech Walesa's Solidarity movement began its populist assault on the country's repressive Soviet-installed regime in 1980.

45 years after Pink Floyd's David Gilmour filmed 'Live At Pompeii' in the legendary Roman Amphitheatre there, he returned for two spectacular shows in July 2016, part of the year-long tour in support of his No. 1 album Rattle That Lock.

On An Island is the third David Gilmour album and his first studio recording since Pink Floyd’s 1994 multi-platinum ‘The Division Bell’. From the first moments of the sound collage that begins ‘On An Island’, you know it’s a special experience that not only bears comparison with the best of Pink Floyd, but also confirms their lead guitarist and singer as an outstanding solo artist.

By the time of David Gilmour's solo debut, he had not only established himself several times over as an underrated, powerful guitarist in Pink Floyd, but as a remarkably emotional singer, his soothing approach perfectly suited to such songs as "Wish You Were Here.

David Gilmour released his second solo venture in 1984, following the apparent dissolution of Pink Floyd. He had released a record on his own in 1978, but About Face is much more accessible.

"Rattle That Lock" is the fourth solo studio album by David Gilmour, the voice and guitar of Pink Floyd. This is David's first since 2006's # 1 album "On An Island". The primary lyricist for "Rattle That Lock" is Gilmour's long-term writing partner, Polly Samson, and the album is co-produced by David Gilmour and Roxy Music's Phil Manzanera.

The brand-new album by David Gilmour, Luck and Strange was recorded over five months in Brighton and London and is Gilmour’s first album of new material in nine years. The record was produced by David and Charlie Andrew, best known for his work with ALT-J and Marika Hackman, with lyrics mostly written by Polly Samson, Gilmour’s co-writer for the past thirty years. The album features eight new tracks along with a beautiful reworking of The Montgolfier Brothers’ ‘Between Two Points’, which sees Romany Gilmour, who performs backing vocals across the album, on vocals and harp. Musicians contributing to the record include Guy Pratt and Tom Herbert on bass, Adam Betts, Steve Gadd and Steve DiStanislao on drums, Rob Gentry and Roger Eno on keyboards and the string and choral arrangements are by Will Gardner.
