After three well-regarded albums with prog rockers Elephants of Scotland, Adam Rabin is stepping out to release his first solo album this fall. Over a year in production, this new collection features songs both intended for a new EoS album as well as some specifically written as solo works.
"…The disc’s exceptional, state-of-the-art recording draws you in right close, with Allan’s very special and intimate delivery cocooned by the immaculately judged and empathic contributions of a handful of other musicians (guitar, dobro, accordion, banjo, bowed psaltery, fretless bass). I feel sure that Leaving At Dawn will come to be judged as one of Allan’s finest ever collections." ~folk roots

Over a year in production, this new collection features songs both intended for a new EoS album as well as some specifically written as solo works. Save for one guitar solo by EoS bandmate Bob Gagnon, Rabin plays all of the instruments himself. The album, free of the rock band conventions, explores different arrangements and styles - Middle Eastern, acoustic, orchestral, and even a jazz standard-like ballad…
My Morning Jacket will celebrate the 20th anniversary of their sophomore studio album, At Dawn, by issuing an expanded version of the LP.
