"Branigan" is the debut studio album by American singer Laura Branigan. It was released in March 1982 by Atlantic Records. Two singles were released from the album. The album's lead single, "All Night with Me", reached #69 on the US Billboard Hot 100, while the second single, an English version of Italian singer Umberto Tozzi's song "Gloria", was a commercial success, propelling Branigan to international prominence. The album included the ballads "If You Loved Me" and "I Wish We Could Be Alone", the latter written by Branigan. It also included the pop-rock "Please Stay, Go Away" and the full-on rock of "Living a Lie". The album was certified gold in both the United States and Canada. Her Euro disco version of "Gloria" was nominated for a Best Pop Vocal Performance, Female in 1983.

"Love Will Turn You Around" (1982) was another million-seller and features the # 1 hit title track and "A Love Song", The title track of "We've Got Tonight" (1983), a classic penend by Bob Seger, was yet another massive worldwide hit, sung as a duet with Scottish singing star Sheena Easton.

"We've Got Tonight" is the 14th studio album by Kenny Rogers, released in 1983. It is also his last with Liberty Records before signing with RCA Records. The album hit #3 on the country charts and #18 on the Billboard 200 charts. Despite lower rankings than many of his earlier releases, the album was still certified platinum in both the US and Canada.

"Thank God It's Friday" is a 1978 American musical comedy film directed by Robert Klane and produced by Motown Productions and Casablanca Filmworks for Columbia Pictures. The film contains many popular disco songs, with many key performers featured, including Donna Summer, Diana Ross, Thelma Houston, The Commodores. A triple album containing many of the tracks heard in the film was a commercial success.
