The only album of the band from The Hague. Created in 1965. They regularly performed in pubs and nightclubs in The Hague, performing rhythm and blues. The band caught the attention of the label "Polydor", which signed them to a contract. Their first single "Cry Me A River" (a cover of a Julie London song) reached #27 on the Top 40. After this success, the band members quit their jobs and focus solely on music. However, their second single "Can You Hear Me" did not bring them success. The group's third single "Something You Got" was recorded in September 1966 in London and reached the top of the Top 40 hit parade. Soon the group released their only album "I'll Follow You". The following year, drummer Henk van Meerbeek left the band and was replaced by Cesar Zuiderwijk (ex-"Ladybirds") and the band released a new single "Touchin' You Is Lovin' You". Then Fred de Wilde left the band to become the first (before Mariska Veres) vocalist of "Shocking Blue" and the band disbanded. On June 13, 1980, a big concert took place in The Hague, at which the newly assembled Hu And The Hilltops performed together with the bands Q 65 and Shocking Blue.

Heavy Metal

In 1990, Bruce Dickinson launched his solo career with Tattooed Millionaire, which is far from a carbon copy of his work with Iron Maiden. Many of the fans who knew him as Maiden's lead vocalist assumed that this solo debut would be Maiden-like – they expected an album of aggressive yet melodic fantasy metal in the Maiden/Ronnie James Dio/Black Sabbath vein. But Tattooed Millionaire found Dickinson favoring more of a hard rock/pop-metal approach. This album is full of glossy and lighthearted pop-metal that wouldn't be out of place on an album by Winger, Bon Jovi, or Def Leppard…

b. Eddy Conrad, 1959, Gary, Indiana, USA. Conrad grew up in Indiana obsessed by the sound of Isaac Hayes’ ‘Theme From Shaft’. The first record he ever purchased, Conrad would spend his pocket money continually attending reruns of the film at local cinemas. ‘As a kid you always have heroes but with John Shaft [the film’s protagonist] it was serious. He had that certain macho feeling that every kid wishes he had too.’ In 1985 he fulfilled a long-held ambition by re-recording the track, which became a number 13 UK chart hit. It might well have charted higher had another version of ‘Theme From Shaft’ by Van Twist not been released at the same time. Afterwards, however, Conrad and his band disappeared from view completely.

"I'm in Love" is the 4th album released by R&B singer Evelyn "Champagne" King on RCA Records in 1981. It was produced by Morrie Brown, Willie Lester, Rodney Brown, Kashif, and Lawrence Jones. By the time her previous album "Call on Me" was released, disco music in the United States faced severe backlash across the country pressuring it to move underground. The now infamous so-called "death of disco" propelled artists to look elsewhere for inspiration, one of which was the way of "one-man bands" pioneered by Stevie Wonder. King was one of the previous successful disco artists who followed the new direction in music. The album peaked at #6 on the R&B albums chart. It also reached #28 on the Billboard 200. It produced the hit singles "I'm In Love", "If You Want My Lovin'", "Don't Hide Our Love", and "Spirit of the Dancer". The album was certified Gold by the RIAA. The album was digitally remastered and reissued on CD with 5 bonus tracks in 2011 by Big Break Records.

"Everything Is Everything" is the second album by Diana Ross, released in 1970. After the huge success of her self-named album and its accompanying two singles, Motown rushed the release of this album. It reached #42 in the USA (#5 R&B) and sold over 200,000 copies. The track "I'm Still Waiting" was a UK #1 single in 1971 for four weeks and her rendering of Aretha Franklin's "Call Me (I Love You)" was nominated for a Grammy in 1971 in the Best Female R&B Vocal Performance category.

While the three other Con Funk Shun reissues from Cherry Red's Robinsongs division paired two albums, this one is a two-disc set that combines three of them: Touch (1980), Con Funk Shun 7 (1981), and To the Max (1982). For whatever reason, Spirit of Love (also 1980), the source of "Got to Be Enough," was left out of the series. These weren't among the band's best releases, though they did spawn hit singles like "Too Tight" and "Bad Lady," and the tremendous album cut "Love's Train." In addition to providing the albums in their entirety, there is a handful of bonus tracks, including the 12" versions of "Lady's Wild," "Body Lovers," and "Ms. Got the Body."

"Physical" is the 12th studio album by English-born Australian singer Olivia Newton-John, released on 13 October 1981, by MCA Records. The album was produced and partly written by her long-time record producer John Farrar. Recorded and mixed at Ocean Way and David J. Holman's studio in Los Angeles, California, "Physical" became one of Newton-John's most controversial and sexual records, and her most successful studio album to date. Musically, the album features considerable use of synthesizers and it explores lyrical themes such as love and relationships, sex, kinesthetics and environmental protection. Upon its release, the album received positive reviews from music critics, many of them considering it to be Newton-John's best effort. The album charted high in several countries, including the United States, Japan and Newton-John's native Australia, becoming one of the most successful albums of the early 1980s. It also ranks among the best-selling albums by Australian solo artists, selling more than 10 million copies worldwide.
