Der Spitzname »Poptitan« kommt nicht von ungefähr, denn Dieter Bohlen zeichnete im Laufe seiner über 30-jährigen Karriere als Musiker und Produzent schon für so manchen Hit verantwortlich. Im Mai 2017 widmet ihm der Fernsehsender RTL deshalb eine eigene Sendung, die einen Blick auf seine Karriere wirft. Passend dazu gibt es außerdem einen umfangreichen Sampler: »Die Megahits« lautet der bezeichnende Titel der Box. Auf wahlweise zwei oder drei CDs warten unter anderem alle 21 Nummer-eins-Hits, Songs von Singer-Songwriter Chris Norman, den Popsängern Yvonne Catterfeld, Alexander Klaws, Daniel Küblböck, Mark Medlock, Pietro Lombardi, Rapper Kay One und den Schlagerstars Beatrice Egli, Andrea Berg und Vanessa Mai – allesamt Bohlen-Originale. Natürlich dürfen in der Sammlung auch ein paar Modern-Talking-Klassiker nicht fehlen. Songs wie »You’re My Heart You’re My Soul«, »Brother Louie«, »Cheri Cheri Lady«, »Atlantis Is Calling (S.O.S. for Love)« und viele weitere warten auf »Die Megahits« als neue Versionen und in verschiedenen Megamixes.
