El escritor Fernando Marías (1958-2022) contactó a Javier Olivares en 2009 para poner en imágenes la vida de Joaquín Pertierra, un misterioso ilustrador español nacido en 1919 y fallecido en 1981 que en los años de la guerra civil se vio envuelto en un brumoso episodio que le perseguiría a lo largo de su existencia. La colaboración entre ambos, Marías y Olivares, con la que gestaron un cómic, formó parte de El silencio se mueve, un libro publicado en 2010 por SM. Trece años después se edita El enigma Pertierra, donde ambos creadores recuperan aquel material y descubren nuevos aspectos fundamentales de la vida y la obra de Joaquín Pertierra.

I had this album in 1988 right after I discovered EUDLF through "Nuevas Mezclas"(my favorite EUDLF album). "Como la cabeza al sombrero" is a more ambitious, mature project with truly delicious songs, above all "Sara" and "La Piedra Redonda", a pop tune that injects hope and energy to whomever listens to it. This CD has two extra tracks (instrumental) not present in previous versions, including the Spanish CD (which I have) and the older vinyl version.
As in other reviews, this band is excellent for those who also learn Spanish as a second language: beautiful, surrealistic yet easy-to-understand lyrics. No one will be disappointed with this CD (amazon.com)

Latin pop/rock band from Spain El Ultimo de la Fila was formed in the mid-'80s by Manolo García and Quimi Portet. Manolo was previously playing in a band called los Rápidos, along with José Luis Pérez, Luis Visiers, and Antonio Fidel. Quimi was playing in a group called Kul de Mandril. When these musicians met in 1982, they decided to start a new project named los Burros, inviting Jordi Vila and Antonio Fidel to join in, signing up to an independent label called Belter soon after. When los Burros broke up, García and Portet started playing as El Ultimo de la Fila, debuting with an album called Cuando La Pobreza Entra Por La Puerta, El Amor Sale Por La Ventana, which was followed by 1986's Enemigos De Lo Ajeno. A year later, the duet had the opportunity to perform at the Amnesty International show in Barcelona, playing along with Bruce Springsteen, Sting, and Peter Gabriel. After touring all over Spain and many countries in Latin America, El Ultimo de la Fila broke up in January of 1998. ~ Drago Bonacich, All Music Guide
