A distaff Tarzan, Sheena inspired a wealth of similar comic-book jungle queens. In 2007 Devil's Due Publishing (DDP) acquired the comic book rights to Sheena and began their run of the title. This post includes all the Sheena comics from DDP, plus an added bonus: the comic book anthology , published in 1999 by Paragon Publications featuring a compilation of some of the original Sheena stories issued during the 1940's and edited by Bill Black. The foreword alone by Bill Black and Bill Feret contains a wealth of information. Add to that the reprints of the original black-and-white Sheena stories and what you have is comics history.
